All eyes now turn to the Heineken Cup quarter-final against Toulouse at a sold-out Thomond Park on Saturday (ko 1:30pm).
Ian Keatley kicked six from six for Munster as they claimed a losing bonus-point. The visitors led 12-6 at the break but Brian O'Driscoll scored the game's only try just short of the hour to help Leinster to the win.
Ian Madigan kicked 17 points for the hosts as they increase their lead at the top of the PRO12 table to five points with just four games to go until the semi-finals.
Munster remain three points ahead of third-placed Ulster who were beaten 28-23 in Cardiff with Mark Anscombe's side also picking up a losing bonus-point.
Along with the Toulouse game on Saturday, Munster A are also in action this weekend as they visit Leinster A in the B&I Cup quarter-final on Friday night (ko 7pm).
