A large travelling contingent travelled to France to see Munster claim a dramatic last-minute win in Perpignan last weekend and Penney wants more of the same on Saturday night.
"I hope so, yeah, I'd like to see the Cork faithful come along and support the lads. The guys are playing a brand that's interesting to watch and a bit thrilling at times, if you want a good night's entertainment get down to Musgrave Park."
"Scarlets have been performing really well and probably haven't picked up a few results that they could have, we're not underestimating them for a minute and they'll be a real challenge on Saturday night."
Dave Kilcoyne featured as a second half substitute in France and the 25-year-old is determined that Munster keep the winning run going against a Scarlets side with a strong front-row.
"They have a young tighthead there, Samson Lee, who's a good operator and they have Phil John who's an experienced campaigner. They're quite an attritional outfit up front so it's going to be a tough task to get a win over them."
"The thing now is not to let last week's win overshadow the preparation that needs to go in this week. We've put huge emphasis into doing well and being very competitive in the Rabo this year so we have to maintain it and keep that standard going."
When Scarlets visited last year, they claimed a 13-6 win at Musgrave Park with JJ Hanrahan kicking a late penalty to salvage a losing bonus-point for Munster.
And the Welsh side repeated the trick in February with an 18-10 win against Rob Penney's side at Parc y Scarlets.
Despite losing George North to Northampton in the summer, the Scarlets side still contains the likes of Rhys Priestland and Scott Williams and had no fewer than seven players selected in the Welsh squad for the recent defeat to Australia.
