Ard Scoil Ris 6, Castletroy College 3.
In a low scoring semi final at Dooradoyle, Ard Scoil Ris booked their place in the final of the Avonmore Milk Munster Schools Junior Cup on a two to one penalty count.
This was an exciting game up to the finish but Ard Scoil Ris just about deserved their place in the decider. Stephen Fitzgerald put Ard Scoil ahead with a penalty after seven minutes and that was to be the only score of the opening half.
A minute into the second half Ard Scoil Ris number 8 Paul Obande was shown a yellow card but Castletroy were unable to make their numerical strength count. However a minute after Obande’s return Conor Linehan levelled the tie with a penalty.
