Pres’ out half Eamon Mills opened the scoring with a drop goal after twenty minutes to lead 3-0 at half time. Conor Kearns was off target with two penalty efforts in the opening half.

Rory Scannell extended the Mardyke College’s advantage with a penalty five minutes into the second half. Tries by Barry Fitzgerald (forty eight minutes) and skipper Ryan Murphy six minutes later, the latter converted by Scannell made it 18-0.

Twelve minutes from time Scannell kicked his second penalty and with seven minutes remaining Kearns got in for a try for Glenstal.
