With the top game of the day the meeting of arch rivals P.B.C. and C.B.C. in the Bowen Shield being postponed due to a bereavement it left their main challengers Ard Scoil Ris and Rockwell to move level with leaders C.B.C. 
Rockwell were 31-0 home winners over Glenstal Abbey. Greg Henry scored two tries for the winners and Sonny Dwyer and Adam Sutcliffe got one each and Coleman Kennedy kicked three penalties and a conversion.
Ard Scoil Ris defeated Castletroy College 20-12 with Ciaran Power scoring two tries and Conor Glynn kicked two conversions and two penalties. Conor Burns replied with three penalties for Castletroy and Eoghan Clancy kicked one.

In the McCarthy Cup (Under 15 League) Castletroy College completed their program with six wins from six defeating Ard Scoil Ris 17-14 to guarantee a home semi final. Ronan Murphy and Barry Nash scored tries for Castletroy and Conor Lenihan converted both and also added a penalty. Shane Fenton and Tom Walsh scored tries for Ard Scoil Ris and Fenton converted both.
C.B.C. booked a home semi final with a 20-12 away win over neighbours P.B.C. Nessan Guilfoyle, Darren Lee, William Trevor & Cameron Waugh all scored tries for the Sydney Hill College and Pres’ replied with tries from Paul Kiernan and John Poland. Robin Reidy kicked a conversion.
Rockwell and Glenstal Abbey played out a 10-10 draw at the Tipperary venue. Simon Lowry scored two tries for the home side and James McCarthy and George O’Hara replied with tries for Glenstal.

Crescent Comp. play P.B.C. next Sunday at Dooradoyle in their postponed Bowen Shield and McCarthy Cup games and depending on the results of these games the quarter finals of both competitions could go ahead next Wednesday as scheduled.
