Conor Fleming opened the scoring with a penalty for Castletroy but Jason Kiely pulled Munchin’s level shortly after. A try by Mark O’Mara converted by Fleming edged Castletroy back in front five minutes from time but a second penalty from Kiely left the Corbally College side trailing by four points at the interval.
Seven minutes into the second half Fleming extended Castletroy’s advantage with a second penalty to 13-6. Number eight David Rowsome barged over for a try for Castletroy with seven minutes remaining. Fleming kicked a third penalty to wrap up the scoring.
