Last Wednesday, first and second year students from a host of West Munster schools took part in a 10-a-side rugby blitz at Tralee RFC.
Cork English College together with Munster Rugby are delighted to launch our English & Rugby Camp which takes place in July 2014. This two week programme is open to students between the ages of 13 and 17 years who wish to develop their English and improve their rugby skills.
Students who participate in this course will experience the combination of language tuition in the mornings and rugby training in the afternoons. They will also have the chance to make new friends from all over the world, and learn more about rugby's values of team work, respect and integrity through the medium of English.
Central to this programme will be to ensure that rugby skills are taught in a safe and controlled manner.
The camp runs from July 6th - July 20th 2014 at Cork Institute of Technology, Bishopstown, Cork and includes;
Students attend classes in the mornings from 9.00am to 12.15pm with student's language abilities assessed on arrival and then placed in a suitable level class. Following lunch, rugby training takes place in the afternoon from 2 to 5pm.
