Munster Rugby and IRFU Referee Department have just completed their very successful joint venture to find the next generation of referees in schools within the Limerick area.
All four finalists will also receive Munster/Avonmore kit bags plus there will be a special Avonmore Milk Super Hero Man of the Match Award for each final.
Qualifying leagues are currently being run throughout the province with the semi-finals scheduled for week ending 12th March 2011 and the finals scheduled two weeks later on the 26th of March 2011.
Speaking on behalf of the sponsors, Kieran O’Connor, Glanbia Sponsorship Manager said, "Glanbia are delighted to continue our association with Munster Rugby through both Schools and Youths in the Province. As a pure food company, with a wide range of dairy and nutritional products, we believe our involvement with both schools and youth’s rugby in the province is an ideal mix in promoting a healthy lifestyle for our youths through sport and healthy diet.
The association of our Avonmore Super Milk brand with Munster Rugby has been very successful over the past six seasons as well as our continued sponsorship of the Munster Youths and Munster Schools representative Teams. It is great to see so many former youths players of recent years now representing Munster including Alan Quinlan, Clanwilliam F.C.; John Hayes, Bruff RFC; Danny Barnes, Tralee RFC; Dave Ryan Highfield RFC and Tommy O’Donnell, Clanwilliam F.C. to name but a few”.
Speaking at the launch, Denis Kelleher, Vice-President Munster Branch and Chairman of Munster Youths said, “The association of the Munster Rugby and Avonmore Brands is appropriate and valued as both brands support the player's physical well being through development, nutrition, healthy lifestyle and diet. The Munster Youths U17 and U19 cups are steeped in tradition and passion and we are very pleased that Avonmore have again extended their sponsorship into the Munster Youths competition. I would like to take this opportunity to wish all participating clubs and players the very best of luck.”
