West Cork side Skibbereen RFC will travel to the Showgrounds tomorrow, 14th December (kick-off 2pm) to take on Clogher Valley in the semi-final of the All-Ireland Junior Cup
The three Munster sides in Division 1B are in the bottom half of the table. U.L. Bohemian can get back into a challenging position if they can take the points from leaders Buccaneers at Annacotty.
Bruff after a poor start are on a good run boosted by last week’s home victory over Cork Constitution in the Cup and they travel to Galwegians where a victory would put them back into the promotion race.
U.C.C. who have suffered two heavy defeats on the road face another difficult tie when they travel to face Clontarf at Castle Avenue on Sunday and will hope for a change of fortunes as they aim to move away from the foot of the table.
It is a similar story in the Second Division where three of the four Munster sides occupy the last three places.
Midleton are the only side at the moment in with a strong chance or promotion and their credentials will be tested when they play second place U.C.D. at the Towns Park. With confidence high they could make things difficult for the students but on form could just come up short.
Thomond in second last place face the toughest tie of the weekend when they travel to leaders Ballynahinch. It will be a big ask for the visitors to end the Ulster side’s unbeaten run.
Old Crescent are at home to Trinity and a win for the Limerick side could see them move ahead of their opponents.
Bottom side Clonakilty still looking for their first points of the campaign face a tough encounter when they welcome Ballymena to The Vale.
In Division Three Sunday’s Well entertain second place City of Derry and the home side will hope to get back to winning ways after a poor performance away to Naas.
Third placed Seapoint travel to Nenagh and the Tipperary side will need to win this tie to get back into the promotion race.
Highfield should continue their recent good run with an away win against Suttonians.
