Some promotion issues decided in AIB All Ireland League.
Old Belvedere and Young Munster are promoted to Division 1A of the AIB All Ireland League with Lansdowne promoted from Division 2 and Queens University winning promotion from the Third Division.
have extended their gap at the top of Division 1A with a 17-10 win over Shannon
in the top of the table clash at Temple Hill. Two penalties by Jeremy Manning and a try by Frank Cogan had the home side 11-0 ahead at half time. Shannon rallied with a try from Luke O’Dea and a penalty and conversion from David O’Donovan to leave a point between the sides.
Manning secured the points for the home side with a third penalty and drop goal.

A try by Rory Kenneally and a penalty by Barry Keeshan gave Dolphin an 8-7 interval lead. Kieran O’Gorman scored a try for the home side and Danny Kelly converted.
A try by Danny Riordan converted by Kelly look enough to give Bohes the points, but in a final flourish Dolphin ran in three converted tries from Sam Cronin, Danny Barnes and were awarded a penalty try. Keeshan converted all three and had earlier kicked a drop goal.

Two converted tries saw Bective close the gap to two points and than with the last kick of the game the home side saw a drop goal effort just miss the target.

A late converted try by Naas saw the Kildare side snatch a dramatic 25-23 win over Sunday’s Well
