A 13-3 victory for Midleton College over Waterpark College in the opening round of the Cup at Clonmel booked their place to face their old West Cork school.

Waterpark led 6-3 at half time with two penalties from Tom Kiersey to one by George Durrant for the East Cork side.

Tries by Nick Burns and Stuart O’Sullivan after the break proved to be the difference between the sides as Midleton eased their way into the next round of the competition.
