Barry O’Mahony opened the scoring with a try for Dolphin after twenty eight minutes and Barry Keeshan converted. Dave Clark kicked a penalty for the visitors, minutes before the half time whistle.
Three minutes into the second half Keeshan extended Dolphin’s lead with a penalty and minutes later he converted a try by Niall O’Driscoll.
Replacement Ronan Lougney closed the gap with a try for Galwegians which Clark converted to leave seven points between the sides.
A minute from time Nick Williams got in for a Dolphin try under the posts and Keeshan converted.
