. Ger Clancy was the Limerick side’s other try scorer and Sean Collins kicked two penalties for the Kerry Gaeltacht side.
In Section B Fermoy
lost their first game when Waterford City
defeated them 16-10. Sean O’Mahony and Dale Ryan scored tries for Waterford and Aaron Foskin and Daniel Fell each kicked a penalty. Olan Crowley and Courtney Canning were try scorers for Fermoy and Joe Lee kicked a conversion.
Following their victory in the Martin O’Sullivan Cup Final last week, Carrick-on-Suir
lost valuable ground in the league when they were beaten at home by Charleville
17-10. The North Cork side were 17-7 ahead at half time with tries from James Leahy and John Hayes. Frank Holly converted both and also added a penalty. The home side were awarded a penalty try which Peter Steele converted. The only score after the break was a penalty by Ross Clery.
