Clonmel raced into a fourteen point lead mid way through the opening half with tries from David Joyce and Enda O'Connor both converted by Morgan Lyons. A penalty by Lyons and a try by Padraig Leahy which Lyons converted led to a Richmond player being shown a red card after he objected to the try being awarded.
Nine minutes into the second half Conor Cooney scored a fourth try for Clonmel and Lyons again converted.
Richmond did hit back with tries by Mike O'Friel and Derek Mitchell and a conversion by Mick Kelleher.
Tralee have moved a point ahead of Richmond following their 21-18 away win over Kilfeacle. Tries by Andrew Brace and Garrett Walsh and a penalty by Walsh had the Kerry side 13-3 ahead at the break. Shane Luby kicked a penalty for the home side. Walsh added another try and penalty in the second half but three late tries by Jack O'Sullivan, Pierce Breen and Matthew Earl nearly denied Tralee victory.
Skibbereen also nearly came unstuck at home to Crosshaven. Tries by Vincent White Colm Hurley and two conversions and a penalty by David Shannon had Skibbereen 17-3 ahead at the break. Ger Fitzgerald kicked a penalty for the visitors. Brendan O'Donovan added two further tries to secure the bonus point and Shannon kicked a conversion to leave the West Cork side 29-3 in front. A late rally by Crossahven which yielded two tries by Fitzgerald and one by Ross O'Connell all converted by Fitzgerald secured a losing bonus point for the bottom side.
Ballincollig and Cobh Pirates shared the spoils in a game that finished 6-6 at Tanner Park. Denis Galvin kicked a drop goal and penalty for the home side and Brendan Ronan replied with two penalties for the Pirates.
Defending champions Cashel are back in contention after their 29-3 home win over Thurles. Jack Maher and Maximilliano Nannini scored first half tries for Cashel and Pat O'Connor, Diarmuid O'Connor and Sebastian Lentino added three more tries after the break with Pat O'Connor converting two of them. Eamon Connolly replied with a penalty for the visitors.
Waterpark failed to collect a bonus point in their 30-7 win over St. Senan's at Ballinakill. The home side were 20-0 up at half time with tries by Killian Grant and Colm Phelan and two conversions and two penalties by Brendan Walsh. Grant scored his second try after the break and Walsh converted as well as adding a penalty. Deep in injury time Dylan Sonemann scored a try for the visitors and Jake Egan converted.
There is no change at the top of the Second Division with all the top three sides winning.
Old Christians remain on top after their 15-11 home win over Newport. The sides were level 8-8 at half time with Gavin Murphy scoring a try for the home side and Aidan Tobin kicking a penalty. David Egan scored a try for the Tipperary side and Philip O'Brien kicked a penalty.
A try by Rob Stapleton which Tobin converted secured the points for Old Christians and Newport's only reply was a second penalty by O'Brien.
Galbally remain only one of two sides undefeated in the league after they travelled to Kinsale and defeated the home side 22-3. The visitors led 6-0 at half time with two penalties by Carl Bourke. James Taylor added a try after the break and Bourke kicked the conversion and three further penalties. Kinsale's only reply was a penalty by Jason Murphy.
Clanwilliam made their trip to Ballyanly a winning one when they went home with the points on a 13-3 scoreline. It was 3-3 at half time with Dave Foley kicking a penalty for Muskerry and Willie Dwyer replying for the visitors. Tries by Bernard O'Callaghan and Padraig Ryan secured the points for the Tipperary side.
Youghal remain in deep relegation trouble after they left a 19-6 half time lead slip at Bandon. The home side ran in four tries after the break to secure the five points on a 32-19 scoreline. Alan Fox, Owen Power and Shane Coyne were try scorers for Youghal and Jonathon Ormond kicked two conversions. Pat O'Donnell replied with two tries for Bandon, Michael Murphy got one and they were also awarded a penalty try. Eanna Kelleher kicked two penalties and three conversions.
Kanturk defeated Ennis 36-3 a result that sees the Clare side still remain in the relegation places. John O'Sullivan and Simon Mulholland scored two tries each for the winners and Dara Meade and Peter Earley got one apiece. Meade kicked three conversions.
St. Mary's still remain in bottom position after they lost at home to Newcastle West 32-13. Declan Moloney, Diarmuid Crowley, Karl Hayes, Gerry Martin were try scorers for the winners and Tommy Kelleher kicked three conversions and two penalties. Darragh Fitzpatrick replied with a try for the Corbally side and Barry Gibbons kicked two penalties and a conversion.
Castleisland have now opened up a nineteen point gap in their section of the Third Division after their 32-7 home win over Killorglin. Joe Lyons scored three tries for the winners and Daniel Casey and Mark Connolly got one each. Connolly converted two of the tries and also added a penalty.
The other games in this section ended in draws. A try by Darragh McNamara and two penalties by Brian Stritch helped Scariff to an 11-11 draw with Presentation at Rathuard. Dara O'Callaghan replied with a try for the home side and Shane O'Brien kicked two penalties.
Kilrush and Abbeyfeale played out an 8-8 draw at the Clare venue. Declan Griffin scored a try for Kilrush and Paul Conway kicked a penalty. Sean Scannell replied with a try for the visitors and Paul O'Sullivan kicked a penalty.
Charleville have extended their lead in the other section with a 12-5 home win over Fermoy. Ian Hutchinson gave Fermoy the lead with a try in the opening half but a drop goal by James Leahy left it at 5-3 at half time Eamon Holly kicked three penalties to keep Charleville top.
Mallow made amends for two recent defeats by Carrick-on-Suir when they defeated the Tipperary side 25-6. Dan McCarthy scored two tries for the winners and Jim Moloney and Leonard Brown got one each. Brian Morris kicked a conversion and penalty. Mikey Cronin replied with two penalties for the visitors.
Waterford City kept their promotion hopes alive with a 32-19 away win over Shandon. Conan Watt scored two tries for the winners and Sean O'Mahoney and Dale Ryan got one apiece, Aaron Foskin kicked three conversions, penalty and drop goal. Shandon had tries from Eoin Murnane, Gary Phelan and Paul Hogan. Barry Leahy added two conversions.
A try by Denis O'Driscoll and an Andy Larkin penalty earned Douglas an 8-3 away win over Dungarvan. Michael Irwin scored a penalty for the home side.
