The game was played in treacherous weather conditions with heavy underfoot conditions and the home side took full advantage to run in two first half converted tries and then held out for a famous victory.
The first came after sixteen minutes when a sweeping back line move saw full back Ben Mitchell make the extra man and he ran straight through the Bandon defence to touch down and Captain Ned Hodson added the extras.
Midleton doubled their advantage on twenty seven minutes when after a series of drives by the Midleton pack at the Bandon line, prop Thomas Turkington crashed over and Hodson converted.
With conditions deteriorating neither side could muster another score and Midleton can now look forward to a first round home tie against Ard Scoil Ris in mid January.
