MUNSTER U19 12-10 LEINSTER U19

Only Ulster now stand between Tommy Crowe's side and the interprovincial title.  However, Ulster will have exactly the same thought on their minds when they overcame Connacht to set up next weeks decider.  The match against Ulster is to be played next Saturday 15th September at Civil Service RFC in Stormont, Belfast. ko 1pm
 
Leinster really came out of the blocks early on Sunday and took an early lead through a Ian Madigan penalty after only 45 seconds.  Madigan then followed up his penalty with a well worked try on 12 minutes which he duly converted leaving Leinster 10 points to the good.  Munster then gradually clawed their way back into the game, thanks to some heroic defence at times and started to press into Leinster territory, and after a well worked back move, centre Andrew Joyce scored under the posts after 28 mins. Conor Murray converted to leave the half time score 7-10 to Leinster.
 
The second half was fiercely contested and both sides had opportunities to take control of the game, but a series of stoppages meant the game struggled to find any real rhythm at times.  However Munster were by now starting to look the more determined side and as the half went on, they sensed they could pounce.  After 15 mins of the second half, Full Back Ronan O'Mahoney finished off a flowing move with a serious injection of pace that left the Leinster defence trailing in his wake.  Leinster came back strong at this stage of the game but try as they might, the Munster defense held and closed out the match on top.
