Munster Rugby recently attended Rockwell College to host a skills session for their Junior Cup players.

The main duties involved are:
0 Developing an in-depth knowledge of all programmes, eg. financial support or coach education.
0 Forming strong working relationships with club, school and provincial committees in order to inform and up skill the rugby community on all IRFU programmes.
0 Manage and achieve targets on all IRFU programmes.
0 To develop and implement programmes for the schools and clubs covering club development (COI schemes) and all facets of the game, recruitment and retention of players and volunteers.
0 Oversee and assist in organising coaching courses and player clinics within the Province and implement club development plan workshops.
0 To assist clubs with structural development application to the Sports Capital Programmes or other government/local government/finance/grants schemes.
0 To drive acceptance of the need within all clubs to produce a 3/5 year operational plan across areas of club activities.
0 To develop a high profile within club rugby through club visits, seminars and other rugby public occasions and conferences.
The successful candidate will have:
Essential:
Excellent articulation, written, organisation, administration, computer literacy, communication and teamwork skills. Ability to self motivate, and motivate within a team environment.
Desirable:
" Understanding of club development initiatives, lottery grants, local authority and educational grants and the Irish Sports Council grant mechanisms.
" Strong academic background
" Relevant experience in a similar working environment.
" Positive and proactive approach to developing rugby
" Proven ability in working on own initiatives
Key Performance Indicators for the role.
The Provincial Domestic Game Group is a team of people within Munster Rugby who are responsible for the planning and delivery of agreed Provincial Strategic Goals for Domestic Rugby Development in Munster. They now wish to appoint two Regional Development Officers (RDOs) on a fixed term contract based in Cork.
As per the Branch Service Level Agreement covering development and participation targets in the following areas:
" Coach and Referee Development
" Player/Team Participation
" Club Development
