Glenstal Abbey won the Limerick Schools Senior Cup for the first time since 1985 but their win came at a price as try scoring hero Brian Costigan had to be taken to hospital with a leg injury.
A penalty and drop goal by Michael OFlynn had Glenstal in front 6-3 at the interval with Robbie Guerin landing a penalty for St. Munchins.
Costigan edged Glenstal in front and an interception and 30 metre dash by Shane Cosgrave sealed the win for Glenstal with OFlynn converting Cosgraves try.
Guerin kicked a second half penalty for St. Munchins.
