IT, Tralee and Munster Rugby recently launched their collaborative partnership which will see both organisations developing a closer relationship over the next year.
Cork native David Hanley has been appointed Technical Director of the Sweden Rugby Union and in his short time involved has helped develop a Regional Development and National Academy programme.
Hanley, an IRFU Stage 3 accredited coach and former Christian Brothers College and Sunday’s Well player has been instrumental in the rapid growth of rugby in Sweden.
Over the past number of months Munster Rugby’s Coaching staff have assisted with the development of domestic and national programmes both on and off the pitch and has seen Swedish Rugby make huge strides since the introduction of the IRB Developing Nations initiative.
