Cork Constitution reached yet another Munster Senior Cup Final with a deserved win over Cashel at Temple Hill.
The winners got off to a great start with a try from Cathal O’Flaherty after ten minutes which Gerry Hurley converted. Hurley made it 10-0 with a penalty after nineteen minutes.
Pat O’Connor opened Cashel’s account with a penalty four minutes later but was off target with three kickable efforts before half time to leave the hosts 13-3 ahead.
Midway through the second half the Con’ pack drove over the line and Philip Donnellan was credited with the touchdown and Hurley converted.
Cashel responded with a try from Rory O’Connor and Pat O’Connor converted but two penalties from Hurley and a drop goal by Darragh Lyons saw the Temple Hill side stretch their advantage to 23-10. A late try by Giles Boland was Cashel’s only response.

U. L. Bohemian came from 11-0 down at half time to defeat Young Munster 13-11 in the other semi-final at Annacotty.

Dolphin and Nenagh Ormond will contest the ODM Cyril Fitzgerald Plate final. Dolphin defeated Bruff at Musgrave Park 26-3. A try by John Cleary and two penalties by Rory Scannell had Dolphin 11-3 ahead at half time. Richard McAuliffe replied with a penalty for Bruff. Tries by Eamon Mills and Eoin O’Shaughnessy and a conversion and a penalty by Scannell ensured victory for the Cork side.

Nenagh Ormond defeated Midleton 20-9 in the other semi-final.

Both Richmond and Kanturk reached the semi finals of the Munster Junior Clubs Challenge Cup.

It was a last minute penalty by Stephen Clancy that gave holders Richmond a dramatic 12-9 away win over Waterpark. The sides were tied 9-9 at half time with John Flynn kicking three penalties for the home side and Clancy replying for the Limerick side.

Kanturk also booked their place in the last four with a 19-10 away win over Cobh Pirates. Four penalties from Darragh Meade gave Kanturk a 12-7 interval lead. James Frahill replied with a try for Cobh which Eoin Geary converted. Peter Earlie scored a try for Kanturk after the break and Meade converted. Geary added a penalty for the home side.

Cork Constitution defeated Garryowen 27-10 in the South West Under 21 League. Dean Nolan scored two tries for the winners and Cian O’Halloran one. Cian McGovern converted all three tries and also kicked two penalties.
