The draws for the semi finals of the AIB All Ireland Senior and Junior Cups have been announced as three Munster clubs occupy the top three positions in Division 1 of the AIL.
The AIB Senior Cup draw resulted in Ballynahinch v Garryowen and Young Munster v Cork Constitution. In the Junior Cup Navan will play Cill Dara and Tullamore will be at home to Cashel.

These games will be played on Saturday 21st March with the finals live on RTE on 5th April.

Cork Constitution brushed aside the challenge of local rivals Dolphin to remain on top of the AIL after their 41-22 victory at Musgrave Park.
The home side led 14-10 at half time with tries from Chris Roe and Robbie Allen both of which Barry Keeshan converted. Darragh Lyons replied with a try for the visitors and Peter Broughan kicked a conversion and a penalty.
Constitution dominated the second half and two tries from Cronan Healy and one each from Andy O'Brien and Simon Zebo made sure of maximum points for the Temple Hill side. Broughan converted one of the tries and also added four penalties.
Dolphin replied with a penalty from Keeshan and a try by Warren deBruin.

Shannon have moved to twithin a point of the leaders after their 28-10 local derby win over Young Munster at Clifford Park. Shannon led 12-7 at half time with a tries from Fionn McLoughlin and Padraic O'Brien and a conversion from Tadgh Bennett. Matthew Costelloe replied with a try and conversion for the home side.
Further tries by David O'Donovan and Stephen Kelly and two Bennett penalties secured maximum points for the visitors. Costelloe added a penalty for the home side after the break.

Garryowen moved into third place after their 14-6 away win over U.C.D. Two penalties from Conor Kilroy had the Light Blues 6-0 ahead at half time. Conor Murray added a try after the break and Kilroy kicked a third penalty.

U.L. Bohemian's hopes of a top eight finish received a set back at Annacotty, when they went down to Old Belvedere 13-6. The home side trailed 13-3 at the break with Aidan McNulty kicking a penalty for the Limerick side. Despite holding the visitors scoreless in the second half, the home side's only reply was a penalty from Fergal Lawlor.

In the Second Division a gallant performance by Thomond at Fitzgerald Park was not enough to stop them dropping into the relegation zone after they lost at home to leaders Lansdowne 9-0. Charlie Oosthuisen kicked three penalties for the Dublin side.

In the game of the day at Kilballyowen Park U.C.C. maintain their promotion place with a narrow 14-6 win over Bruff. Ivan Dineen scored the game's only try for the students and Gavin Dunne kicked two drop goals and a penalty. Brian Cahill replied with two penalties for the home side.

Old Crescent kept their hopes alive of a top four finish with a 22-9 away win over Greystones. Trevor Bowles scored all the Limerick side's points a try, conversion and five penalties.

Highfield overcame bottom side Instonians 20-17 to move up to a mid table position at Woodleigh Park, The home side led 10-3 at half time with a try form Anthony Wise and a conversion and penalty by Nick Wakley. John Watt replied with a penalty for the visitors.
Instonians came more into the game after the break and a try and conversion from Watt and an S Uren try nearly earned them the points. Paul Martin scored a second try for Highfield and Wakley converted and also added another penalty.

A last minute try by Noel O'Sullivan earned Clonakilty the points at home to Wanderers on a 15-14 scoreline.
A try by Mike Keohane and a Gary Cribb conversion and penalty had the West Cork side ahead 10-3 half time. Wanderers hit back with a try from Ritchie Pratt and three penalties from James Ritchie until O'Sullivan's try denied them victory.

Midleton kept their promotion challenge alive in the Third Division with a hard earned 17-12 home win over Suttonians. Gary Conway, Sililio Sae and Jeff Hitchmough scored tries for the home side and Hitchmough converted one. The Dubliners replied with tries from Darragh Mulligan and Paddy Maguire and a conversion by Tom Campbell.

Nenagh Ormond put a dent in Old Wesley's promotion hopes with a 16-11 home victory.

Waterpark are still without a win at the foot of the table after they lost at home to the side above them Sunday's Well 15-10 at Ballinakill. The home side raced into a 10-0 lead with a try and conversion from Billy Phelan and a drop goal by Kieran Howlin, but the visitors hit back and tries by Keith Rothwell and Michael Moynihan and a conversion by Brian O'Donovan and a penalty by Colin Corkery earned the 'Well the points to move up the table.
