Ronan O'Mahony is one of five Munster academy players moving to a senior development contract for season 2013/14.
Since 2008 Limerick Institute of Technology's Video and Sound Technology course have joined forces with Munster Rugby to provide a platform for increased learning in the area of Video Production.
Students work alongside media professionals providing match-day footage for big-screen viewing at Thomond Park Stadium as well as creating video content for the official Munster Rugby website video platform by recording press conferences and media interviews.
This hands-on approach to learning offers the students an opportunity to consolidate the insights and learning achieved on the course with real world television broadcasting events, which is in line with the college's philosophy of active learning.
The video and sound facilities at L.I.T. include five professional video editing suites and four recording studios as well as extra camera equipment, ensuring L.I.T. students are fully equipped to take on the task of producing high-end video content for Munster Rugby.
The students work under the guidance of Liam MacCarthaigh and undertake the process of shooting and editing the material as part of their coursework.
